Torn Curtain Is a political spy thriller set in Europe at the height of the cold war. A US physicist and rocket scientist whilst in Europe with his fiancee for a conference appears to voluntarily defect to the 'other side' - East Germany. With his fiancee in hot pursuit they race to gain as much info on Soviet rocket technology as they can before making a hasty but protracted escape back to the west. Starring Paul Newman and Julie Andrews and skilfully captained by Alfred Hitchcock, and in the supporting cast are Lila Kedran, HansJoberg Felmy, Tamara Toumanova, Ludwig Donath and David Opatoshu. This was a big hit at the box office globally. The poster, being the Spanish release version shows the two stars clearly, and amazingly is signed by Ms Julie Andrews. A real treat to have in any collection.
