Gloriously filmed primarily on location in Egypt aboard a paddle steamer cruising on the Nile. It starred Peter Ustinov as Hercule Poirot and had an all star cast supporting him that included Bette Davis, Maggie Smith, Angela Lansbury, David Niven, Jane Birkin, Mia Farrow, Olivia Hussey, George Kennedy. Simon MacCorkindale, Jack Warden, Jon Finch and Lois Chiles. A wonderfully conceived poster by the renowned artist Richard Amsel featuring Ustinov’s character ‘Poirot’ and the supporting cast against a backdrop of the sphinx and the paddle steamer on the Nile.
