Set in a hospital, a young reluctant petty criminal poses as a nurse to obtain the hospitals supply of the contraceptive pill to sell abroad on the black market. Taken as a real nurse he is made to live in the nurse’s home and perform nurse duties in the hospital. All around him chaos ensues as doctors, nurses, patients and their visitors get up to all sorts. Leading the team in this outing are Kenneth Williams, Hattie Jacques, Sid James, Barbara Windsor, Joan Sims, Charles Hawtrey, Berbard Bresslaw, Kenneth Connor, Kenneth Cope and in his last Carry On film the brilliant Terry Scott.
